TEACHERS NOTICES

Thank you Awhi Group!

Everyday I see our little darlings enjoying the fruits of your fundraising efforts (sometimes the big darling too)!

At the end of last year, many of our little ones expressed sadness about parts of their park being broken or taken away due to damage.
Thank you, Tui for seeing a need and doing something about it.
From all of us (but especially from the Year 1s-6s).

Sports Academy
For the remainder of the year, students and whanau have an opportunity to support one another in building base fitness.
For our students who are in sports teams, building your base fitness will give your team an advantage.
For our students who are not in teams, I encourage you even more so.
Wednesday mornings, all fitness levels welcome (walkers too) The meeting place is the KCS carpark.
For students who do not live nearby, showers and breakfast are also available.
If you have any questions, please contact Whaea Lana [email protected]  or Komene [email protected]

RUGBY
The Kotahitanga 1st XV has had a very successful year, beating Kerikeri twice, beating Whangarei composite, and losing to Whangarei Boys 1A in the final. We are the best 1st XV 1B team in the north; however, we need a proper 1st XV Academy program going so we can match Whangarei 1A, who play in the North Harbour competition, and beat them. Kayden Caville was the only student from our kura this year, and he had a very strong debut. He has a bright future if he continues to stay focused.

Term 3 Literacy, Numeracy and Mock Exams:
It is that time of year when assessment and workload pressure is increasing for our learners. Please help your student to implement good time management skills to study, good sleep, healthy diet, adequate exercise and less screen time for the next few weeks. Their brains will function better. Below is the Term 3 Exam timetable) in week 9 (next week Tuesday – Friday)  for the Literacy Reading, Writing, Numeracy and Mock exams. There will also be some Year 11-13 NCEA mock exams also to complete in Week 2 of Term 4.
PIZZA & JUICIES
Back by popular demand, Pizza Thursday and Juicies Friday. For phase 2 of operation playground.
Order forms are at the office,  orders and payment MUST be in by Thursday mornings by 9am at the latest.
Thankyou
School Awhi Group.

WHAT ARE ATTENDANCE DUES?

The Ministry of Education does not fund building related costs at our School. Attendance Dues are only used to pay for building related costs. They can not be used for any other purposes.  Paying Attendance Dues is a condition of enrolment for all students attending our School. Attendance Dues are compulsory – there is a legal requirement for parents and caregivers to pay Attendance Dues under the Education and Training Act 2020. They are not a donation.
