THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE

So he answered and said to me, ”This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power,  but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.

TEACHERS NOTICES

Student Leadership Program
Last week   Class Leaders held a class meeting, where students talked about their favourite parts of school and came up with ideas for improvements. It was a great opportunity for the students to build confidence, work together, and show leadership in a real and useful way.

From the feedback gathered, class leaders decided most students said they really enjoy:

  • All the sporting opportunities
  •  worship/assembly
  • The juices and snacks available
  • Classroom learning

The top 5 things students thought could make the school even better included:

  • school events throughout the year (talent show, survivor, Wheels Day, House Competitions)
  • More bathrooms and changing rooms
  • Have a tuck shop
  • Places for middle and senior school to hangout
  • Doing more to prevent and respond to bullying

Overall, this program was a great opportunity for students to share their ideas and they really valued the chance to share their voices to make a change in our school.

Thank you for taking the time to hear about the project, and please take the time to consider seriously our students’ amazing ideas for future school improvements.

WHAT ARE ATTENDANCE DUES?

The Ministry of Education does not fund building related costs at our School. Attendance Dues are only used to pay for building related costs. They can not be used for any other purposes.  Paying Attendance Dues is a condition of enrolment for all students attending our School. Attendance Dues are compulsory – there is a legal requirement for parents and caregivers to pay Attendance Dues under the Education and Training Act 2020. They are not a donation.
