NCEA STUDENT NOTICE

Success for ALL: We need YOU! I am reaching out to whanau to help us support your students do their best effort ever this term. Why? Firstly, It is a very an important term and having a strong academic commitment will be necessary for the best learning successes. Secondly, disruption through illnesses in Terms 1 & 2 has had a significant impact across the country, and NZQA are looking into the impact of learning to date. For your information, our Term 1 & 2 student attendance ranged between 40-85%. This very low rate is presenting significant challenges both for our learning programs and for students to achieve enough course credits this year. Therefore, I am reaching out to the whanau to support us by ensuring your students are doing homework each night for all their subjects, are prepared with all books and equipment, are not staying up too late on computer games/social media and are attending school on time everyday. We can accelerate the learning progress this way and I am sure your input and support from home will make a significant difference to the overall learning success outcomes. If your student is unwell and cannot attend school, please notify the school office by 9 am. Remember, students are able to access their learning online to keep up. Please contact me if you have any concerns or questions regarding NCEA or your student’s courses.
Nga mihi mahana,
Yvonne Vujcich

PHOTO LIFE

Your parents have been emailed their child’s unique Key Code to go online to view and purchase 2022 School Photos.       ***FREE DELIVERY EXPIRES Midnight Sunday  18TH SEPTEMBER*** If you could send out communication to your parents as they might need to keep an eye on their trash / spam folder.

I have attached the master list of the School’s Key Codes in case you do get any queries from parents who did not receive their child’s Key Code.    The Staff Key Codes are also included for those who have had a portrait photo taken and want to order their complimentary pack.

We are currently matching the student’s names to their class photos and you will receive a copy to check everything is correct shortly.   Please be aware that we are (as with all other businesses) experiencing high levels of absenteeism due to Covid.  We will not print any orders or photos until we have the school’s approval that everything is correct and OK to go ahead.

You will receive your School’s Complimentary copies and USB of the Staff and Student images to load onto your Student Manager System as normal, when we despatch the orders to you for distribution to your students.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any queries.

WHY IS PHOTOLIFE EMAILING KEYCODES THIS YEAR?

Easier and more efficient  for Parents – Hi PhotoLife, Thank you for the email.   I have missed out on previous school photos due to not receiving the order form in previous years, but this was a seamless and much easier process, it was amazing!

Free Delivery Expiry Date is highlighted in the email

No administration needed by School Office or Teachers in handing out codes

Emails sent by a “real person” so any queries emailed back from parents are resolved quickly by PhotoLife

100% more environmentally friendly – minimising paper; printing inks and printing process

This year a higher number of Students are Absent so this system does ensure the Key Code gets to the parents regardless

Less chance of transmission of  Covid Virus on physical paper

School Sport NZ, in partnership with University and Tertiary Sport New Zealand, is proud to bring you the 5th edition of the NZTG in the 2022 term 3 holidays in the beautiful surrounds of Mount Maunganui.

The New Zealand Teachers Games (NZTG) is an opportunity for educators and support staff to have fun with their colleagues, to compete seriously or socially and to enjoy each other’s company on the sports field. It provides a setting away from the pressures of school and tertiary institutions for all staff to relax, to network socially and professionally and to experience all the fun that being physically active, and part of a team can bring.

Open to anyone on the payroll of Early Childhood Centres, Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, and Tertiary Institutions. With options for all levels of ability, fitness, and competitiveness, the NZTG has something for everyone so why not get a big bunch of your colleagues (or the whole team!!) together and GET YOUR GAME ON!

Sport is a big part the landscape in NZ schools and tertiary institutions. It develops culture and pride and is a key engagement vehicle for students in learning, in their institution, and within their wider community. Sport can contribute to academic and social outcomes with clear links to key curriculum competencies including Relating to Others, Participating & Contributing and Managing Self.

NZTG seeks to use sport to provide schools and tertiary institutions with team building and networking opportunities, creating positive health and well-being experiences for staff and encourages all to be a part of providing quality sport opportunities for their students.
