THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God
Matthew 5:8
PRINCIPAL’S NOTICE
Tena koutou whanau ma – warm greetings to everyone
As you can imagine, there is a fair amount of excitement among the students as they look forward to the holiday break. I know many of you will also be looking forward to spending more time with your young ones and doing things together, especially with the weather warming and the days getting longer. Incidentally, that reminds me, Daylight Saving starts this weekend (29th September) so remember to put the clocks forward by an hour before you head off to sleep on Saturday night
Staffing
Lately we have been struggling with staff illness and absence. This is compounded by relief teachers being in short supply and we are thankful to the relieving staff we have been able to call on over the past few weeks. We pray for wellness and a return to normal for next term.
In staffing related matters, we are sad to announce the retirement of Mrs Van Wingerden. Theresia has been with us, heading our Science dept since 2018 and we will surely appreciated her hard work and expertise in this area. Theresia’s ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to step into the gaps will be missed, and we will miss her company and companionship in our school whanau.
Attendance
It has been really pleasing to see how well students are attending – our average has lifted to 83+% with about 70 students with attendance of over 90%.
School roll
We are currently interviewing whanau seeking placement in the school ready for 2025. Please make sure to spread the message to get enrolment applications in asap because places are filling fast.
Psalm 27:4-6 One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling, he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.
6 Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord.
Blessings to all

WHAT ARE ATTENDANCE DUES?
The Ministry of Education does not fund building related costs at our School. Attendance Dues are only used to pay for building related costs. They can not be used for any other purposes. Paying Attendance Dues is a condition of enrolment for all students attending our School. Attendance Dues are compulsory – there is a legal requirement for parents and caregivers to pay Attendance Dues under the Education and Training Act 2020. They are not a donation.
